I don't think I've ever seen such a ridiculous test. They are doing micro mp3 players.

Firstly, they are testing a sony with no screen, a sandisk one and another I've never heard of against an iPod Nano! Yeh...that sounds like a fair test.

Then they brought in some breakdancers to do something or other.

I'll skip the next few ridiculous tests and cut straight to the big one...sound quality. They played two completely different songs (one from each player I mean) through an iPod dock and decided the iPod was best. The final category was looks....they should have saved me some time and given it straight to the iPod.

What a waste of 8 minutes of my life.

Hate the presenters, hate the show. Watched it maybe 3 times ever. UK lacks real decent tech shows. Though Click isn't too bad just ~5 mins wasted on websites, and is otherwise short.

The Gadget Show is good. I just wish they'd spend more time on stuff people are actually going to want to buy,

Though Click isn't too bad just ~5 mins wasted on websites, and is otherwise short. What's wrong with recommending a few websites we might be interested in? I'm always eager to see what they're going to feature each week, and it's not like there's enough time to fit anything else in.

Anyone remember [.TV]? I was peeved when that closed down.

Well if they are going to compare stuff they need to compare it properly. From what da moose says it sounds rather stupid.
How can you compare sound quality of something using different music by using a dock designed for an ipod and expect it not to be better?

Sorry, when I said iPod dock I was just colloquial. It was some "high quality speaker". But even so, expecting a £30 mp3 player to sound as good as a nano on any system is stupid.

They don't have a clue what their doing, sadly this represents allot of people so they get away talking a load of crap for an hour every week.

For the record, I've never been impressed with the Nano.. I have 1st gen and a 3rd gen and my BlackBerry sounds better than both (using the same track, of course).

Can't say I've tried the latest one though..

Not just old men, although a nipslip would be more my cup of tea. [rofl] I think she's very nice, don't really know why, she's just one of those women that has something, to me at least. She's the only good reason to leave it on if i stumble across it channel surfing.

Not sure how the current iPod's sound, but there were players near enough in that range that for pure audio quality, were meant to be better (Sansa Fuse etc). Not got an iPod though so can't test myself, this is just based on reading. The Gadget show does do some pants testing though.

The show is retarded and their tests are mostly stupid. Two thing's from the show i'd like though. Firstly, Suzy Perry, and secondly, to win their competition.

Hey, they can just throw more new presenters at the show, seems to be all the rage with this one... it was a superb show when it was just the 3 of them.

The Gadget show does do some pants testing though.

they're totally fixed from the start - was on the show 6 years ago testing torches at a paintball site. they told us which one would win...

on the upside, we got to shoot the **** out of the gadget show girls and they had to bleep the dialogue
