I don't like hard boiled eggs but why in the world would you want a hard boiled egg with a runny yoke? *pukes* I have never in my life seen anyone I know eat a HBE with anything but a cooked yoke.

And every man should be totally self sustaining, IMO. Cooking, cleaning, laundry, etc. My dad was the oldest of 9 kids and he spent a lot of his younger life helping provide for his siblings. He could whip up breakfast for the whole family before he was 10. Damn it I miss him

Indeed. We even had that as subject in junior high school (or perhaps grade school, don't know what it is in UK/US when you're 13-15..) called home economics. The only people who failed in that subject were those who was growing up to be criminals lol.

Teaching basic like that, and basic financial rsponsability like balancing cheque books and the affect of credit card charges, should be taught in schools as it would cetainly help[ a lot of people that really need it.

I don't recall it being taught in Scotland and in NZ it was just taught to the girls (in the mid seventies, chauvenism was still very common) and apparently it was dropped from the sylabus about 20 years ago.

Way thing are, when I was flatting, the guys were much better cooks than the girl were, on average.

It's not a hard boiled egg if the yolk is runny, it's soft boiled. Hard boiled means it's got a solid yolk

Anyway, I like a soft boiled egg to dip my soldiers (slices of bread and butter cut into strips) in.

Don't you like having a runny yolk when have a fried egg? I do, it's yummy!

My bro ruined a brand new teflon pan trying to fry an egg.
My Bro ruined a kettle while trying to boil some water for the tea. He forgot about what he was doing and the plastic parts of the lid of the kettle just melt, causing a yucky, smoking mess! [oops]

[rofl]

Runny yolk is my preference, simply fried or boiled, if the yolk can be runny, I want it that way [thumbup]
