Ridiculous, giant massive Eastereggs I can understand, but even in Charlie's Chocolate Factory I thought most of those gigantic sweets were just silly.

That thing must weigh a ton though

From the link...

Weight:
Giant Gummi Bear: 2.3Kg
Large Gummi on a stick: 225g
Please Note: Contains gelatin, therefore not suitable for vegetarians.

http://www.ivu.org/faq/gelatine.html

I guess cos its Boiled bones, its kind of Sterilised, so I guess you couldn't get Mad Cow Disease, but still, I'd rather give it a miss. [thumbdown]

I got one of these for my niece last year. They taste surprisingly bad. The biggest problem though is that if you let them get warm after a bit has been chewed they are sticky an anything.

You didn't know gelatine was made from animal products?

So you never eat beef or steak? I wouldn't worry too much about BSE these days.

Must say, I had no idea, but to be fair I usually really don't care about what food is made of

Cheese also has bone material. Some glue types as well.
Alot is made from dead animal left overs. Also medicine..

I like them smaller bears more I think to eat, but this would be a really nice gift though.

Definitely, But there is a difference between 8oz's of prime Fillet Steak and 2.5kg's of what is essentially the marrow from a cows thigh bone.
