Oh wow, just noticed that this month is my 10 year "Onionversary" also!!

Its been 10 years of lurking, posting, lurking, posting lol. I didnt post very much when I first joined, I mostly read posts and when I did post it was to ask questions about hardware/overclocking/benching. Couldnt live without MO though, its my source for all things electronic/gamming.

I dont remember you, PhysicX, tapping as much into my memory as I can, here is who I remember from "back in the day," when I first joined MO and was overclocking/benching- Digital Jesus of course, Macci, Grahm, Deerslayr,CEHowell, Nacho, Rainwind(did he change his name to iceman or something?) Thats all I can remember right now, im sure more will return to my memory now that Ive been thinking about it.

Allot has changed in 10 years, back then it was such a niche community and overclocking was much more a sport than a practical endeavor and benching was such an exciting, albeit, expensive activity. Nowdays I just want my electronics to work properly and I dont have the energy/desire to worry about overclocking. Guess Im just getting old and lame lol.

I remember your name, but thats about it. welcome back. as said its definately a different world these days than it was back in the day, but its by far a better place than it was say 4 or 5 years ago. there is a small enough group of regular posters that you can actually keep up with names these days. though its funny seeing some noobs not knowing what an onion is. I forget sometimes that everyone hasnt been around long enough to know about MO. wonder how many of them have their forum layout set to the old MO design and have no idea what thats about.


10 years this month for me too. lots of names popping up in this thread I havnt seen much recently. I still post on a regular basis, but being out of town the last 2 years with work on pretty much a weekly basis limited me to weekends. got a laptop a few months back so I get to lurk and occasionally post during the week now. Though my 3 month old son is taking up a lot of time when I am home on weekends now so I dont get to go online much until he goes to bed at night, and then I usually pass out from the less than 4 hours of sleep I have been getting. thankfully this week he has started sleeping through the night. I think my wife got more than 3 hours of sleep in a row for the first time this week. Noticed last night the 9/11 thread from last week was completely gone. guess that thing went even more south after I got pissed and turned the computer off for the night.
