The consensus on cycling forums I frequent seems to be that the stuff from Lidl is pretty good, even taking the cost into account i.e. it would still be good kit at 3 times the price.

By the way, how do you guys pronounce "Lidl"? Something like "Lydel" or so?

Nothing wrong with Lidl. Although it's like shopping in a Greek supermarket or something.

Same on diving forums. These base layers are good under a drysuit.

I´m not a big fan of Aldi, Lidl and co,..
The whole cheap cheap cheap atmosphere and the people that shop there makes me feel poor and depressed.
I rather go a few streets further and shop at Kaufland or Marktkauf
