Had a pretty stupid accident with my ipod touch an now ive got an area on the screen with stuck pixels. Ive tried the apply preasure method and although its working, theres still some stuck pixels left. Is there a better procedure for this?

Put a paper on top of the screen. Grab a pencil and use the eraser to rub around the area where the dead pixel is including the dead pixel it self. And just rub it for few minutes using light to medium pressure.

I know that can work with most LCDs but I would think that the glass would stop the pressure from being applied to the screen.

Yeah was thinking the glass is making things harder to apply pressure. I tried rubbing till i can see that color swirl common when touching an lcd screen, but still nothing.

At first i was thinking maybe these are dead pixels, but compared to how the screen looks like before i tried pressing hard on it, it's definitely an improvement (but still ugly).

ive tried all of those except method 2 & 3.. just might work so ill try again.
right now im doing that flashing gif thing, its been running for like 15 mins now and i read somewhere that if you leave it long enough then apply pressure afterwards it'll do the trick.

Ok im starting to be convinced that theyre actually dead pixels :/ after a few more rds of trying and still no change. Ill take a picture in awhile to confim with you guys.

If you look closely (not sure if it shows up in the pic as well) but it looks like the pixels are dark blue. When i wake it from sleep it flashes to white then goes back to that dark blue color.

Before i first started applying pressure on the screen, there were much more dots, some of them even formed horizontal lines (About 4 of them, as long as the one that's there now).

Stupid question.

Is your iPod under warranty?

If it is, then take it to Apple store and have them replace it.

If you live in US, go to craigslist, and you can find local shops that can replace the screen at a cheap price.

Nope not under warranty.. Just bought it off from a friend of mine. Been with him for well over a year and after a month of using it i already managed to do this :-/ ik thinkin about having it looked over some local repair shops just to see how much they charge for a repair for this.
