I got this email in my hotmail account from the "windows Live Team" - email is member_services1116@hotmail.com

Also the 1116 in the email address is dodgy. It's a scam right? |

It's a load of crap for about a million reasons.
1) Hotmail wouldn't put the Microsoft corporate address at the bottom of an email 2) There are loads of grammatical errors 3) I doubt they would email you from a @hotmail.com email address 4) If they have enough of the database to restore the accounts then all they would need is your email address....which they just emailed you on. 5) Most importantly, Microsoft say it's a scam...http://windowslivehelp.com/thread.as...4-3dbb159e64b4 |
