I wouldn't NEED to see where the post ends and the sig begins... [yawn]
I never had a problem without the line.
So you are happy to have to keep reading the same **** thinking it's part of someone's post only to realise it's just their stupid sig?
Just make your signature read: "Bungle is a dunce". It is probably relevant with every post anyway.
Better to make one that says "will_Perdikakis is a ****ing piece of **** I scraped off my shoe".

1) The line spacing is larger at the end of the body text.

2) It would usually be out of context.

3) On the assumption that I had read the text once at some point, I would realise that I had read it before and stop.

By the time you've realised that it's out of context and that you've read it before it's too late because you've already started reading it! It was so annoying without the line! I'd rather not go back to that.

Being out of context doesn't keep you from reading at least part of it to realize such, and personally I don't feel like having to make a mental note of every person whose signature blends in with their post. And even if you just recognize it because you've read it before, I think reading two extra words every once in a while is more inconvenient than glancing over a little black line in every post with your peripheral vision (I mean, I don't know if that terminology is correct, but you certainly don't have to pay any attention to the black line to recognize that it's there and where it is).

I'll take the little extra convenience. I'm used to it being there anyway.

Unless it calls Bungle a plank.

I have decided it would be better if the line was a lighter shade of grey. It would still do the same job and not be quite as annoying.

There should be a template on the reply screen for that

You know I don't think it's the color that's such a problem as the position. It would be great if it wasn't pressed up right against the signatures a small gap would be perfect.
