Is it possible to access on the iPad?

Built in Youtube app is no better quality then the iPhone over 3G, same on the website with no quality options

I never understood what the allure was of surfing through random videos posted by people on the internet. Granted, if someone links me to a Youtube video I go and watch it, but I've tried a couple of times to just crawl through the site and watch videos but I never get past watching 1 or 2 before becoming excessively bored.

You only seem to get the new version if you select "English (US)", if you select "English (UK)" it uses the old version.

You have to sort the wheat from the chaff. I'm subscriber to a few YouTube channels, and view videos fairly often.

I'll admit I've never been to the mobile youtube in android before now. I don't see any real reason to use the present mobile site over the app or the regular site.

What did they change

It gets better if you have a youtube account and "favorite" videos. Eventually the recommendations aren't so random anymore.
