Default Dentist tommorrow
Only got a single minor filling to be done, but I'm still crapping myself. Something about the sound and feel of the dentists drill just freaks the clean out.

It's funny, 6 months ago was my first visit to the dentist for 8 years, I had to have 4 minor fillings done and they were all done without any sedative or anesthetic. It was fine, only right at the end was there a slight twinge, yet despite making it through easy peasy last time I'm still inflating my slacks.

Rational mind: "It's fine, you've done it before, no worries"

Irrational mind: "OMG RUN YOU FOOL!" [rofl]

I haven't been to a dentist in about 9 years... but I really need to go get my Wisdom's removed. I've got a mouth full of too many teeth. Maybe later this year if they keep bugging me.[help]

I really do not like Dentists! I know how you feel.

I am a total ***** when it comes to appointments at the dentist's. I currently have a small brown spot in one of my tooths, it seems to be a small hole. I know I should go to the dentist NOW, but I'm afraid, haha! I know it'll only get worse, but... uh... with all the work I dont have time. [rofl]

Other than that I have great teeth, never had a filling or anything, everything looks pretty good. So I have been lucky so far.

Just went to the emergency dentist on saturday since my Wisdom tooth was causing enormous amounts of pain.
Weird thing is though, the root of that tooth was removed 2 months ago.

Now I'm sick from work because it's still hurting like an arse.........

Never had a problem with the Dentist, although I do have to have a wisdom tooth extracted some time in May, also I made the mistake of watching someone have their Wisdom tooth taken out on Youtube[surrender], silly silly Dave[surrender].

I've never been afraid of the dentist, although I can't say it's the highlight of my week when I have to go. I was recently able to find out how **** my old dentist was though.

Back in Canada I had the same dentist since I was born pretty much, and visiting was always associated with copious amount of pain even when under anesthetic(he was about as adept with the needle as with the drill).

After moving to Switzerland I got a dentist who was in his 80s and still practicing. I had to get several cavities filled, and the first time he started drilling without anesthetic I was like "Oh ****!!". Turns out it barely hurt at all and it was actually a pleasant experience in comparison to past experiences. Too bad he died last year... Have to find a new dentist and hope they aren't crap.

Last week was the first time I was to the dentist in about 5 years. I'm almost 27 and have never had a cavity or any other problem. I don't eat much sugar though and brush/mouthwash regularly. It's still a good idea to go. Don't really have an excuse other than I didn't make an appointment.

My teeth are fine, i.e. straight a white. However I do have deep valleys in my back teeth which means I'm prone to cavities.

I simply didn't go because, like my mother, I have a terrible dentist phobia. Even now I'm internally panicing about tommorrow.

Hmm, now that I think about it, I've not been to the dentist for about 6-7 years either (I'm 22)

I had braces from about aged 14-16 and after my last orthodontist appointment I've never been again. So I guess the last time I saw an "actual" dentist (Do orthodontists actually check your teeth? Or just muck about with braces?) may have been 8 years ago!

Though having said that, my teeth are straight, white and I have no pain..... maybe I should go anyway soon just for a check-up.

Just because you have no pain does not mean you do not have cavities.

Hence the reason I thought maybe I should go for a check-up anyway

I used to do that when I was much younger!

Usually involved me laying on the floor though after passing out because of my hemophobia.

I still get it to some degree that's why my teeth are in such sh*t state, that and I can't get to see a dentist around here within 150 mile radius of where I live, unless I fancy paying upwards of £100 for an extraction, filling etc.

Dentistry is sh*t in Wales. [thumbdown]

I haven't been to the dentist in a while because I can't afford it, but I tried to pull a wisdom tooth out myself only I couldn't get a good grip with the needle nose pliers.

The dentist is counter evolutionary, if we stop going then our teeth will fall out and we will evolve to have stronger teeth that don't fall out. Stop visiting the dentist and brushing your teeth. Don't think about yourself or your children; think about your great^10000 grand children.
