Default Help - un-alarm my car
OK, I need some help. I have a Jap import car, it's a 95 plate and has an after market Alarm and immobiliser from "GT Alarms", there is no manual for the security system, there is no model number on any of the parts I can locate.

It simply is.

Now, I don't give a feck about any of it, except I went to start my car and it did not (Key Fob would not deactivate alarm and immob), I knew I could still open the door using just the key but the alarm would go off and it was late at night.

Today I went back to my car, new battery in fob and I bought along my spare, neither worked. So I opened my door and all hell broke lose, the car was flashing, singing, beeping and my ears were bleeding so I grabbed some pliars and cut the alarm off.

Now I want rid and need to know ANYTHING you can tell me about either a.) install of b.) removal of Alarm and immob, if it's install I can work my way back.

I've found the wires belonging to the Immob & alarm but I don't understand how it interacts, presume with the starter motor but it's like spaghetti junction and I don't know what to cut and how to re-create the circuit loop.

Don't speak to me like a plumb, I have a good idea around cars so only reply if you KNOW how this crap works.

If anyone can help with this I'll let them ride my girlfriend.

normally when a key fob battery dies the whole lot dies, but some can be reinitialized (imagine it like a blue tooth device) you re-pair them and voila and its usually done by pressing the buttons it a sequence

the e mob is nearly always spliced into the ignition relays does your alarm have a fob that you press onto a connector anywhere in the car >?

No! Battery is not an issue, I've had the battery fail on the fob within the last 2 months, I replaced it and it worked off that bat. I know how to re-synch the fob as well but it's just not working. I need to know how to remove the whole system.

Hell, I leave my car unlocked most nights and my insurance doesn't cover me for theft because I cannot give them details of the system and I can't speak Jap to ask the previous owner.

I just need to start the fecker; it seems as if the system relays before the starter motor as it does not turn over and you can hear it over-riding.

Surely, amongst the many members we have we must have at least someone who can give me a basic wiring diagram diagnosis; I know how wires work, I just need to know what to remove from where.

So if I remove the splice it will work ignite?

I can see where it originates but know NOTHING about the systems, I would have though you break the original system and re-route it through the emob.

Thanks

thats right follow it through the bulkhead to the relay/fuse box or where ever it goes find the wires then bridge the original connections that the emob was grafted into and that should do the trick I think your alarm is quite a basic one mate

the alarm probably has its own relay (control box) that is constantly open circuit until you plug the fob in then it energizes the system so if you can find that you may be able to force it closed it could also run from your ignition switch so look at that too.
