When you surf the web via a proxy server, what are the things that can reveal your true IP address online (thus nullifying the anonymity effect of the proxy server)?

Java? Scripts? What else?

All I know is that a transparent proxy doesn't provide anonymity because it forwards your true IP address to the webpage you want to surf.

Basically anything that can give your real IP Layer 7 (Application) of the TCP OPI stack I should think.
