Default Well that went well.
To top off a thoroughly hectic day at work, this afternoon I managed to throw a cup of coffee all over my keyboard, desk, chair, floor, paperwork and folders. By some small miracle I managed to (mostly) miss myself, but more than made up for it by drenching just about everything else within a 3ft radius. I'm talking literal wall of coffee here, none of that amateur "oops I tipped my coffee over" rubbish.

Strangely my keyboard was still working more than 2 hours later, despite having the best part of half a cup of coffee swimming about inside the thing and giving off a rather strong costa-rican blend aroma. Logitech FTW.

On the positive side my colleagues have suddenly stopped having me get a coffee for them when I'm making one for myself. I reckon they are probably worried that I'll get to their desk and then promptly tip the thing all over them.

Every cloud......

At least your keyboard will smell nice (for now).

How exactly did you manage to make your coffee "explode" in a 3ft radius?

Very good question. From what I can recall I was standing by my chair with the cup in my hand - turned round to speak with someone, then turned back and caught my foot on one leg of the chair. Hey presto, coffee tsunami.

Hehe... reminds of when I was in the university computer lab packed with people, I had put coca cola in a water bottle with one of those caps that you click up and can drink out of straight away - so little did I know the pressure was building for a while, I picked it up out of my bag without touching the lid and booooooom cocla cola spraying out in a jet stream all over me, my computer, keyboard, monitor, person/computer next to me etc. It made such a loud noise to the entire lab of 50+ people were staring at me. I wasn't popular....

I am going to tentatively suggest you were not an engineering student [rofl].

I had a similar incident to chris a few months ago, fortunately it was only water not coffee. Good thing i don't drink the stuff, as i am quite possibly the world clumsiest person.

You've gotta laugh at these things.

I once made a cup of tea, carried the bloody thing up three flights of stairs (I was working at my parents back then) and got down the hall to my office and the handle snapped off just as I was about to sit down. Also by some miracle, no electronic equipment was harmed. The cup bought it though; it went straight out of the window for ruining my day lol.

So you took the pot (carafe) with you in your car? Addicted to the stuff, perharps?

My job is cutting back on expenses, got some cheap junk and I have a lot of meetings that day.

Do you take pictures of the spilled coffee for the insurance or do they have a specific sentimental value to you?

I choose the second option, but I would like to change the word "sentimental" to "comedic".

"Never be afraid to laugh at yourself, after all, you could be missing out on the joke of the century."

-Dame Edna Everage,
Ah true, true, I have a few "comedic" picures myself. Usually they involve other people though. I'm just that mean!
