Default The truth hurts rape liar
I hope this *unt shares a cell with Bertha the Fist

http://www.nypost.com/p/news/local/b...#ixzz0gSdPR2sB

A young mother who falsely cried rape, sending an innocent man to prison for nearly four years, will experience firsthand what he suffered -- she'll spend one to three years behind bars for perjury.
"I wish her the best of luck," said William McCaffrey last night of Biurny Peguero Gonzalez.
"Jail isn't easy."
McCaffrey, 33, of The Bronx, was locked up after Gonzalez accused him of raping her at knifepoint on a Bronx street back in 2005.
It was a lie she repeated to doctors, cops, prosecutors, a grand jury and the jury that convicted McCaffrey.
"What happened in this case is one of the worst things that can possibly happen in our criminal-justice system," Manhattan Supreme Court Justice Charles Solomon said as he pronounced sentence.
McCaffrey said he has some sympathy for Gonzalez and hopes she "doesn't go through what I went though.
"I was an accused rapist in prison," he said, adding that in prison, "rape is the worst crime possible."
All is clearly not forgiven.
A person who would "lie and paint somebody as a rapist is worse than a real rapist or a real murderer," McCaffrey said
He also blamed "the arresting officers, the prosecution." Everyone, he said, "wanted to believe the lie, the ADA [assistant district attorney] first and foremost."
Judge Solomon said, "It's hard to imagine why anyone could have done this."
It turned out Gonzalez robbed McCaffrey of four years of his life for the most trivial of reasons.
She'd been hanging out with a group of girlfriends when she accepted an invitation to get into his car.
After she returned, her pals were furious that she'd ditched them -- so she made up the rape story to gain their sympathy.
She will be eligible for parole in a year -- after serving a one-quarter of the time her victim was imprisoned.

Personally i think she should be flogged in public 1st. There are only a few things more heinous than what she did. Intentionally sending someone who is innocent to jail for rape should be an automatic 20 years hard labor. Yeah, yeah... I know, she has kids, think about the children blah, blah, blah. They would be better off in foster care, instead of learning about life from this bitch.

You know what else is outrageous about this? She's not only damaged this guys life but quite possible the lives of genuine rape victims. There are so many actual cases of rape that don't get prosecuted a stupid ****ing woman like this pretending that she has been raped undermines the chance of real victims getting the response they deserve.

The problem is, most people convicted of rape wouldn't have been convicted if they were tried for another crime with the same amount of evidence. Most of the time, it is just a matter of his word against hers.

Exactly, every woman who lies about a rape makes it so much harder for the women with genuine cases to come forward - let alone actually get a just verdict.
She should have gotten at least the four years the guy served - ;ets just hope he gets a great settlement and sues her A$$!

Worse down here, she'd also have a name suppression order to protect her identity!

What happened to "innocent until proven guilty"?

I wonder what kind of "proof" they managed to dig up for this case [dots]

That's what I was thinking.

Mistakes can happen, but to incarcerate this man for 4 years because someone said he did something? Sure she was the "victim", but should her word really be valued that much higher than his when there is no evidence?

Texas justice for the win... it's a good job you didn't sentence the guy, he probably wouldn't be alive to benefit from this revelation, which by the way, she made herself by going to her priest and confessing.

Can't question the sentiment, I can barely even imagine what this guy has gone through. Ugly stuff...

Had i been a judge, he would have been sentenced to exactly what he was sentenced, the maximum. This lady only came forward when it was apparent that DNA evidence was going to clear him anyway. Maybe that sways your opinion of her, but it doesn't mine. Coming forward at the last minute like she did is meaningless to me, and it in no way makes me feel different about her. I think what she did was far worse than what she accused him of doing, a crime so despicable only mass murders or child killers surpass it. She has scarred her victim for the rest of his life. A couple of scars on her back to always remind her and anyone else who see's her without a shirt on of what she did is just fine in my book, whether it is texas justice or not.

She only did the "right thing" after four years when it was obvious that her lie was being unwound.

I think a lot of the people saying she should be in a mens prison, flogged, whatever are,uh,a bit..overzealous to put it mildly though.

She should serve 8 years, with a minimum of 4 before she's eligible for parole. 4 to match his 4, and an additional 4 parole because of her lies.

Not only did he serve 4 years in a jail for a crime he didn't commit, but his reputation is irrversibly tarnished. He's a sex offender who has done time. Even with it off his record people still talk, and it'll haunt him for the rest of his life.

The bitch needs to pay, and that pathetic sentence she's being handed is a giant slap in the mother*%$#@&% face. A man who committed no crime spends more time behind bars than the one who did? To hell with that.
