Looks like a comet which has deep cracks in an X-formation, the cleaves leaving a dust cloud looking like artificial.

Of course [rolleyes]

If i were a part of the government cover up agency, thatīs pretty much what iīd say to,..
but the truth is rather simple, yet dire.
That isnīt a Asteroid,
Itīs the Herald of Galactus,
be prepared for where the Surfer appears, the Devourer of Worlds is near.

it is a bit odd. also if you look towards the bottom left of the picture, directly opposite of the side with the trail, you will notice what looks like a notch. makes it look very similar to what a lot of people claim to be ufo's with a notch in them. directly behind the notch there appears to be a circular shape just off center as well. Im not saying its a ufo, but it is worth noting if you are arguing the ufo side of the story. also the circular shape behind the notch is the source of the x shaped trail coming off the object.

11,000 MPH is really slow for space. That's less than half of Earth's escape velocity. Space garbage?
This is what happens when one website misquotes another website's misquote of an original source:

http://www.nasa.gov/mission_pages/hu...-20100202.html

Asteroid collisions are energetic, with an average impact speed of more than 11,000 miles per hour, or five times faster than a rifle bullet. The comet-like object imaged by Hubble, called P/2010 A2, was first discovered by the Lincoln Near-Earth Asteroid Research, or LINEAR, program sky survey on Jan. 6. New Hubble images taken on Jan. 25 and 29 show a complex X-pattern of filamentary structures near the nucleus. In other words, the mean relative impact speed between collided asteroids is in the order of 11,000 mph - the individual velocity of each object relatively to the Sun will be much higher, although there is no indication of what that is in this particular instance.

Why try and interject logic in to an otherwise fun conversation about UFO's??

That's a load of crap. A government coverup. It is well known what an astroid actually looks like, and they aren't blue..

Probably because the root is 'empathy'. Pathetic imples that you pity, therefore it fits fairly well.
