My wife is out of town for a couple days visiting family. That leaves my evenings wide open. From 10:00 PM to 3:00 AM I have nothing to do, at all. I'm bored of WoW, finished up all my anime and TV series I was behind on... and well... I'm going to be bored out of my mind.

What the hell should I do?

Go out on the town, get out the house, etc. No need to stay at home alone and do nothing. Just go and have some "me" time.

I wish. Next year my company reimburses up to $300/yr for gym memberships. But the ONLY thing we have is the YMCA which is like 8 am - 8pm.

I've run out of books to read. Just not been in a reading mood lately. Burned out on video games. I MIGHT try TF2 again, but last time I played it just seemed kinda meh. Plus I'm too worn out to actually be decent at an FPS after a 10 hour shift so it's annoying playing like some newb with no skillz. I guess I can still play engi.

Go out on the town, get out the house, etc. No need to stay at home alone and do nothing. Just go and have some "me" time. I just can't think of where to go. I live in BFE. We have walmart. That's it. Even Rural King is closed by the time I get home. All anyone does around here is smoke weed, drink alcohol, and have sex with random people. None of those things appeal to me. I have no desire to get high and impregnate a drunk 15 year old mother of 2 who wants more child support while catching herpes at the same time. Man this town sucks.

I do kinda think the learning a new language thing might be fun. I'd like to at least pick up some basic Japanese since my goal is a vacation to Japan one of these years. I'm determined to visit at least 1 or 2 foreign countries in my lifetime.

you can get and play LFD2.. will_P is pretty good at wrangling a gmae between those times everynight... The cadre of players has so far included EaG, Zoo, Sparafucil, Dutchforce and a few other FM'ers. If nothing else, do it for the mental abuse of playing with such a wide range of FM personalities.

If your not going to sleep, why not use that time to make your wife a collection of poetry or something? Perhaps you could do some house painting, or cleaning / redecorating, ect.. Something so when your wife gets home, she will be pleased.

I'm antisocial, and my few friends that I do associate with closely aren't local. Plus the local bars suck even just for hanging out at. Most people around here suck.

Perhaps you could do some house painting, or cleaning / redecorating, ect.. Something so when your wife gets home, she will be pleased. If I even thought about painting or redecorating she would magically appear out of thing air and hit me with a frying pan. Men do not paint or redecorate while their wives are away. That's suicide. I could clean. But that's not fun.

L4D2 might actually be worth it. I like Borderlands because of the team PvE aspect. I might enjoy L4D2 as well.
