Default Looking for some good free Sci-fi reads?

Some nice books here, and if reading on the web is uncomfortable, you can always just buy them! [yes]

couple of years ago I borrowed a SF book from a friend to read, in the back of it was a CD of many of the publisher's other titles which were free to copy to your PC to read. May be the same company.
I've read some and bought copies of others as, as I found, it's a lot easier to just put them down and pick them up at one's convenience - plus it's a lot easier to see where you've got to in the book.

Nice one.

Been going through a few books from Project Gutenburg, so it'll be nice to have some modern sci-fi to add to the library.

Nice find!

Although I have to say I prefer book.

After I read Asimov's Robots-Empire-Foundation saga I've had a little break from Sci-Fi.

Now I'm thinking re-reading the Hyperion series by Dan Simmons.

I recommend this As some of the most operatic Space opera you will ever read, bristling with exploding Superdreadnauts and exclamation points and poker faced (and loving) descriptions of massively destructive devices by their full serial numbers.

In other words, Space-opera Nirvana of the type that anyone who has ever heard of EE doc smith would recognize right away.

Mr Weber "blows stuff up, real good" [yes]
