Unless you can prove that it's probably best to keep quiet. You're probably right, but the only people who can answer it are Google's accountants and they're not talking. Of couse you could believe theregister and it's ilk but then you're as bad as tinomen. ![]() Now of course both Bear and Credit Suisse could be wrong, but I highly doubt it since google itself admitted youtube hasn't made a dime. Also I think you're one of the few who would pay monthly rather then watch an occasional ad- something that would probably lead to the complete failure of youtube. |

Expect more of this. Not just Youtube, but things like Facebook too. They have created this mass audience, but currently the users don't want to pay for the service and trying to make advertising work without ruining the users experience is really hard.
The problem is kind of psychological. We're used to a lot of our internet services being provided for free, especially net 2.0 websites that are massive on social networking. While we accept ads on TV, that's because since the beginning they have always been there. No one screams and shouts that there were 3 minutes of ads in the middle of Heroes, despite the fact you're even paying for it via satellite subscription. However on the internet, if it's not free, instant and mostly ad free, then it's no good. |

I'd couple the ads with the viewing experience: A possible solution would be to charge 25 to 50 cents per video uploaded or something along those lines. It would suck but probably would help |

You are the one who should keep quiet because you obviously can't read. |

You guys might want to read this:
http://www.wired.com/epicenter/2009/...ube-bandwidth/ YouTube may pay less to be online than you do, a new report on internet connectivity suggests, calling into question a recent analysis arguing Google’s popular video service is bleeding money and demonstrating how the internet has continued to morph to fit user’s behavior. |

Is that proof is it? Yet again it's a guess. I said you were probably right but spreading speculation is not a good idea. Why do so many people have afully blown mantrum if you have a different point of view? Go back to your Lego bricks. I think you, leatnvidiots, and bastian are all from the same inbred redneck family. |

God, you're stupid. Google admitting themselves to not making ANY MONEY from youtube...what more proof do you need? You're an abusive little keyboard warrior jerk who talks like a three year old if someone disagrees with you. |

As crazy as that sounds, I believe it. Hell, I pay $2,000 a week in Google Adwords for my businesses. I'd orally please a Rhinoceros if I could find a way to do without them, but they have a goddamn monopoly. ![]() That's the problem with business, most of the time you're either getting screwed or screwing someone - trick is to know which end you're on! |

You stupid idiotic blind fool, I was saying that you have no way of knowing how much they are losing, not that they are not losing any money. It genuinely worries me how poor some people are at reading fairly simple sentence structures correctly. I'll just take this as an apology for your stupidity. |
