Hi all,
been away from this site for a fare while, In fact the last time i was using this site heavily it was still called madonion!!! since then i have forgot my old username and password so im back to being a newbie. i have also been out of the gaming, overclocking and everything PC for a fare while, ive been off traveling and getting drunk etc and my trouble shooting skills have slipped by the way side and most of my knowledge has also gone BUT i am hoping to land my first IT job this week with a bit of luck and help from you guys. i was sent an Email today and with a few questions i would just like to have a few oppinions on how you would answer this? 6. The following is a hypothetical question to show your troubleshooting process. Answer as best you can, and keep in mind that the specific solution is not important, we are just interested in seeing the steps you would take to solve a problem. An end user contacts you and informs you that one of their network printers is not functioning. They have tried several times to print a document, and have even asked co-workers to try as well, all of whom report the same failure. You are aware that this caller is from a remote site, connected to their head office network via a VPN. You have the ability to connect to the end user’s system via the internet, if their network connection is working, as well at the servers at the head office. and this one too? 7. The following is a hypothetical question to show your customer service skills. Answer as best you can, and keep in mind that the specific solution is not important, we are just interested in seeing the steps you would take to resolve the issue. A customer who has, in the past, been very resistant to change has reported that their four year old server is running slow, especially when working with Exchange items. The remote support team has logged in and found that there are a number of issues, including very little free space on the main hard drive and insufficient RAM for the applications loaded. Others who have spoken to this client report that while they likely can afford a complete upgrade, it is likely to be met with significant resistance or even outright rejection. How would you approach this? Thanks for your help in advance i know i can count on you guys, with a bit of luck i will land the job and ill be able to afford to build myself a brand new gaming PC and ill be back posting my futuremark scores again and again ![]() |
