Went shooting again today, this time took my mom. We put 150 rounds of .38 special into it, and I have her fired up to get her old .222 rifle.
The rifle was built by my great grandfather, who was a gunsmith, and given to my mom for her birthday when she was 10 years old back in the 60's. We found an ammo box in her garage with the bolt from the gun and a note from my great grandfather wishing her a happy birthday. We believe that the rest of the gun is at my grandmothers house. We are going to get it and take it to a gunsmith to look over and do maintenance on it, as it has been sitting around for over 20 years. Too bad the .222 remington rounds seem to be hard to come by these days. |

Yeah, I was worried about a legislation that banned ammunition online in california, looking into it more, it's only handgun ammo. Eventually I hope to start reloading; it looks like it's going to be a major PITA to buy handgun ammo in the future in california.

If you really want to get a weapon, then atleast get a German one, remember we´re masters at killing. Our references: Large German Farmer War (1525) Schmalkaldischer War (1545/1546) 30 year war (1618–1648) 1. Turkwar (1663/1664) 2. Turkwar (1683–1699) Northern War (1700–1721) Spanish War (1701–1714) Schlesische War (1740–42, 1744/45, 1756–1763) East Austrian War (1740–1748) 7 year War (1756–1763) Bavarian war (1778/1779) Coalition war (1792–1797, 1799–1802, 1805, 1806/1807, 1809) War against Napoleon (1813–1815) Schleswig-Holsteinischer War (1848-1851) German-Denmark War (1864) German-Austria War (1866) German-French War (1870/1871) Boxeraufstand (1900/1901) World War 1 (1914-1918) World War 2 (1939-1945) Kosovo-War (1999) Afghanistan-War (2002) Nothing says, don´t f*** with me more than pointing a German weapon at another. /sarkasm |

. That said, come on, the only country with any sort of modern weapons that you won against, without the US doing most of the work, was france. But then again how many wars has the US won on its own?... |

If your implying you 'won' the war then i guess the 3 years that you abstained from fighting and lending money, selling materials and technologies that were used in concentration camps to the nazis didnt count?[rolleyes] |

For a .22 lr, go with Ruger still. The Ruger MIII (and MII) are supposed to be good as well as the Browning Buckmarks, but the truth is, I'm leaning towards the Beretta U22 Neos. Some people don't like the Buck Rogers look, but I kinda dig it. I also like the rail and the fact it's the cheapest, if by only $10 (with the 6" barrel). It's even cheaper with the shorter 4.5" barrel. I mean, it's a Beretta, so that's got to be good. The only bad reviews I've read is about appearance and some don't like the grip, but that depends on the person. It also appears to have a design similar to the Brownings. I tried the Smith and Wesson .22 that looks similar to the Browning too, but I did not like the way it felt at all, so I've ruled that one out. As for Ruger revolvers, I have heard nothing but good things about them. I was cheap and got the Taurus, which is working very nicely so far. Hello
![]() Are you looking for a conceal/carry weapon? If so, I have to recommend the Beretta Tomcat .32 caliber pistol. It is small, lightweight, and has a decent caliber. I own one and used it to qualify for a carry permit, had nice tight groups at 25 ft. This hides pretty much anywhere, unnoticed. Heres a pic of mine, I suppose I have normal sized hands for a 6' 2" mid-thirties male. ![]() good luck in your search! |

Hello I filled out the registration for it today. It's the same one as in the original post, just stainless steel. I was going to spend a week looking around at other things, but I am sick of doing that. Usually when I decide on something, I don't change my mind until after the money has been put down. The .22 I'll get sometime down the road, probably next month. |
