So basically i just found out via email... that my girlfriend of 2yrs cheated on me and got pregnant with some random dude she met at the bar. She claims it was because she was trashed, which i dont doubt cause i know how she gets when she drinks. But ive been going back and forth over this and despite how i felt for her i cant see myself forgiving her for this. I mean even if i did the kid would be a constant reminder of what happened and i wouldnt want the kid to be stuck in the middle of that.

Reason I say this is because of this assumption:

You found out in her emails or did she email you? So she was hiding it from you? So was she going to try and play it off like it was yours?

she emailed me this a couple days ago, apparently it happened like about a month ago. she said in her email she thought about moving away just to avoid it all. Ironically enough i work with her too 0_o And the worst part is 2 nights before i got the email we hung out and she had the nerve to have sex with me and fix her computer (theres the tie in to the forums haha) Sucks cause things were going quite well and then BAM face slapped with that.

First, I can't even believe someone would not know the answer to this right off. It should always be hell no, now, with the STD thing... If you get tested, and she gave you something, punch her in the face. It's the only time society will not frown upon you for punching a woman in the face. If she gave you two, punch her twice.

OK, getting pregnant with another dude BEFORE she met him is one thing. Getting pregnant WHILST being with him is another story.

Not to mention that she emailed him instead of talked face to face. She was even going to go as far as leave him (which would make him feel as though he is the guilty one). Unprotected sex with some random guy, then getting with her unknowingly this had happened. As has been said, get a friggin STD/STI check.

Also leave her. My gf and I stated to each other numerous times that if one of us cheated for WHATEVER reason we would split. But still be friends. SO I wouldn't go as far as erase her from your life, although you could do that casually. Just talk to her as if she was a stranger. Eventually you'll go your separate ways and that will be that.

I've been cheated on before so I kinda know how it feels. I never forgave her for what she did but I never stopped being her friend, I just didn't bother to see her anymore and when I did it was just the casual hello and walk away. Now she's had a kid with some dude and lives a fair distance away from me so I never speak to her anymore.

It's totally OK to cheat on someone if you're drunk. You can't help it. Alcohol comes out of nowhere, mugs you, and runs off with your inhibitions, forcing you to have sex with other men against your will.

I agree, and I too see where Josey is coming from. But the situations are different. They are dating, your folks got married. Yes love is work and relationships are tough, but this is beyond that. This basically demolished the love in the relationship....along with the trust. No point in starting a very difficult life with someone when you can avert it and lead a healthier happier life.

I've been smashed before, in fact I've been beyond smashed, I've been completely wasted to the level I was carried home over 1km distance by two blokes and remember bits and pieces of the trip home. Yet when I arrived home I still managed to find my room, vomit, fall head first in it, pick myself up, fall head first into it again, then wake up in the morning in my own bed undressed with only my boxers on and vomit all over my face. Although I don't remember getting into bed.

I guess what I'm trying to say is, no matter how trashed you are you still have some consciousness to know wtf your doing.
