I've never used that feature before, i always overlooked it...but thats excellent! Even adds a nice icon
You can do the same for the iPlayer so it's instantly accessible.

Don't mean to thread crap or anything, but has anyone heard about the Droid and if it's impressive or not?

I've seen the slew of anti-iPhone ad campaigns for it and I'm atleast a bit interested to see what it's all about. Going to 'droiddoes.com' reveals nothing.

Gizmodo had a load of news about that, but I lost the link... should be searchable, Is it actually available now, or vaporware?

I hate their ads... it looks like someone watched too many Saw movies, it'll only appeal to 14 year old boys. How many every day consumers give a stuff about whether the Dev kit is open or not.

Im guessing that Droid phone will be better, interface wise; than the first iteration of Android phones, but not as good as the iphone's.

Also i kind of lose respect for any company that makes a point to downplay the competition in order to try and sell their own product. Of course if it delivers then i might get me one!

1. Holding down the home button initiates voice recognition
though there are many things you can ask it like 'what song is this?' etc but I don't know all that it's capable of. List anywhere?
it's an App, called Shazam

the biggest challenge is finding the really good apps

I think he is asking how to get the iPhone to read off the name of the song playing on the iPod.

That info can be found here.

For those living in the UK, check out http://iphone.tvcatchup.com/ on your iphone/ipod touch. It allows you to watch live TV from the main freeview channels, even works over the 3G connection quite well.

Wow, just tried that on my iphone. Thats probably one of the best examples ive seen of live streaming, the quality is incredible. Im guessing this will soon be an app which we'll have to pay for

Look for an app on the App Store called "RedLaser". It enables you to take a picture of a product's barcode and then search the internet for prices.
