it's some sort of social networking site where people can say what they're doing at the moment.. much like a facebook status.. I don't get the appeal either..

It's a stupid online diary. Well, as far as I understand it. With the difference that now loads of bandwidth is wasted on stuff like "I'm sitting on the toilet and I'm thinking about having sex with both versions of Lady Gaga."

Its a combination of this and people, who live such mundane, depressing lives; having to constantly know what other people are up to in their depressing lives.

I mean who gives a crap what some c-list celebrity got up to with another c-list celebrity in some sh*tty club and what kind of wine they had...

Heck, I don't get the point of texting everyone - seems to be popular from the number of people walking around, head down and thumbs at full speed - it's PHONE, FFS, just call them!

Seems to be a whole "look at me' generation of nobodies coming up!
Doesn't help that the Telco's are offering 500 texts for NZD$10 (that's about US$ 7.50 or 4.50 Sterling).
