Don't you think having these people as parents is already impacting enough?

No doubt, but what would you do in this case without making it worse for the kids?

Separate them from the parents?
Give the parents a huge fine putting the whole family under financial strain for the rest of their childhood?
Send a parent to prison?

I'll admit I was fooled, didn't think it was a stunt when I saw it live on TV.

Reality TV actors from "wife swap" at the helm, rofl.
