Default I found $89.00!!!!
This article had some info and I though why not... So for giggles, I checked and yup, I'm owed $89 bucks!

http://shine.yahoo.com/channel/life/...?pg=2#comments

I went to missingmoney.com or something that was listed in that article.

It's my money, it just never made it to me. So now I have filled out the paperwork and hopefully my, basically, free money will arrive.

I did recently, I found out that a bank I used to bank with had been taken over by another bank, I stopped using the acct years ago, turns out it still had $900 left in it, the new bank sent me a letter basically saying your acct is inactive, please respond within 30 days or we will consider the acct abandoned and keep your money. Happy to say it managed to find me before the 30 days were over.

The best I can come up with is 400 EUR. When I moved out of my old apartment I found 400 EUR in four nice totally unused 100 Euro bills under a bookshelf. I had never lost such an amount of money and never missed it. It was just there and I never found out how it got there in the first place. But the bills were real and were payed into my bank account a day later.

Other than that I have never found anything valuable.

I get excited when I find a dollar coin in my wallet[rofl].

But it's great when you think you got no money, open your wallet and you have like a $50 in there you didn't know about or a $20-$10 or $5.

Really comes in handy when your hungry.

Hell yeah. If I found out I had $900 I didn't know I had I'd feel like I hit the lottery lol. I think the most I've ever forgotten in my wallet was a $10. Dammit now I'm depressed again...

Honestly it was something like $987 and change, but I moved from Michigan to Washington state, the bank I was using didn't have branches up here, so I payed some bills out of it and thought I had totally emptied the account, .... turns out that my math was a little off, considering how flat broke and deeply in debt I was when I moved I have no idea how that account still had any money in it, let alone $900+ dollars
