Not sure how important it is with Honda engines. But if they advise a break in period I'd stick to it. If you don't, you may end up with an engine down on power for the entirety of it's life.

I think it depends on the dealer, as some say "dive it like you stole it" and some like mine gave me advice to not thrash it for the first 1000 miles, no heavy acceleration and don't go into the vtec to often.

Im good with this advice as im loving the car driving it carefully, and i can imagine im going to love it more when i can give her my heavy right foot!
