Damon overtook him at the end of that vid though
Yeah but because of that stellar racing he did right there he was able to win the race.

Agreed, apparently the coverage is simply down to the local broadcaster though?

Either way it's about friggin time F1 coverage was in HD! [thumbup]

Yeah, I remember reading something about Abu Dhabi being the first to get full HD coverage.
Not sure if thats true but it would be great for the first race there.

I notice that some of the onboard cameras are better quality than others even in SD, may be they have swiched them for HD ones already.

In that case I'll get a gamepad and pretend I'm the one driving.

Yeah F1 Fanatic have a little article on Abu Dhabi, fingers crossed because it would be awesome!

Not sure about the onboards, but I know what you mean, they do often appear a little better these days, I assume the camera tech just keeps improving anyway.

EDIT: Seems it's FOM dragging their feet again.

Mind you, it took them long enough to start broadcasting in Widescreen...

I wouldn't count any chickens just yet, but it would be really sweet.

Spa produces fantastic races, but when it's wet it's just something else [thumbup]
The BBC site has a video of the 1998 wet race atm. That's the one where half the field crashed into each other at the start sparked off by DC crashing into the wall (the worst crash ever in F1), Michael Schumacher hitting DC up the rear then storming back to the pits on three wheels, getting out of the car then going to confront DC and accusing him of "trying to ****ing kill me", and Damon Hill taking Jordan's first win.
