So let's kill all the fun to prove a point? A chicken walks into a bar and the bartender asks, "Why the long face?" D'ya geddit? No of course not because I decided to substitute the horse for the chicken just cos I felt like it. You have to laugh though cos you don't want to "kill the fun to prove a point" now do you? It's not our fault if someone completely screws up a joke by changing the core premise. Firstly it wasn't funny any longer and frankly it's lame to take someone else's joke and try and make it your own just by changing a couple of words. |

You bloody moron. Not only did you search google.com which predominantely will have given you USA results, you also forgot that the USA is about 4 times the size of the UK. |

When it comes to British comedy there is one series which comes to mind over all others. The problem is that it never really got to be as popular as other later series like The Office and so on. It's called People like us.
It is basicly a documentry looking into the working lives of other people like Pilots, Police and so on. I think it is one of those shows you will either laugh your arse off at or will just completely miss the point all together. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1SwECTyXaA4 Love this bit... "The area we're going into now is called Ops." "Ops, right. And that's short for?" "Convenience." "Convenience, right ...." |

Listen, you uppity prick, just because you have to think about british jokes to figure out why they are supposed to be funny, doesn't make them smart. It's just an excuse for why the audience doesn't laugh. |

Don't call me names because you're too ignorant to know about google. And don't be so stupid to think audiences don't laugh. It's not our fault you (and I mean you personally) don't understand anything more complicated than a knock knock joke |

How do I know? It's a multi-page thread with some posts some people will find funny and other posts other people will find funny. If you can't work out what's amusing you then go back and have another think about it. |

Most British TV shows are total crap. I would much rather watch Curb Your Enthusiasm and The US Office. I'm not a huge fan of foreign remakes they just tend not to work at all well. The UK version of Married with Children was one of the worst pieces of TV 'humor'. Or the US version of Men Behaving Badly of which Rob Schneider called “Men Apologizing For Trying To Behave Badly.” lamenting that it's hard to have a show about behaving badly when you can't behave badly on American broadcast TV. |
