Are any of you going to this? It's going to be freaking awesome! 2PM until 11PM in the middle of no-where, Hico/Glen Rose, Texas. I'm totally going. My brother is on the guest list and will be hanging with the Toadies I guess, but he has those kind of connections.

Anyways, I just found out about this so I thought you guys might not know either.

You should go! I'll bring enough to keep me intoxicated throughout the day. I don't know much about the other bands, but it doesn't matter because it's going to be all day fun. Since you can get wrist bands and come and go, that opens lots of opportunities for some extra-curricular activities.

not really a fan of the bands listed however i do remember my friend going to some big toadies concert last year, so this must have been it. although some of the toadies songs are pretty good i couldn't vouch going to a concert.

sadly i have actually seen bowling for soup live with my ex as it was her favorite band. i think they come from around the denton area?

I've heard of Bowling For Soup, but I don't know anything about them. The Toadies rock, though! My favorite part of this event is it's all day festival-like kind of thing. I also like that it's in the middle of no-where.

For those that don't know, Glen Rose is where Comanche Peak is (nuclear power plant) and Dinosaur Valley (dinosaur foot prints and stuff).

glad to hear, i had a friend go...didn't make it myself, but it's cool...seen the toadies back in thier heyday plenty, and Bowling for soup about 10 years ago

Did they play a cover song? I remember back when that they played a different cover song at each show. Just saw blah blah woodstock that is in the theatres today, was it a good outdoor festival?

It was very fun.. very laid back. Lots of hot chicks. Beer was CHEAP! $2.00!!!!!!

There was no shade really, so too bad for those that didn't have sun screen on. I saw LOTS of FRIED chicks.

The swimming area was a huge pond! Kidna fun, and totally country bumpkin... but that's part of what made it so awesome.

The sheriffs department and state troopers were the only security, so no local, power trip, quota meeting, pigs. The state troopers and sheriffs didn't care about anything.
Now leaving the show was kinda scary. they COPS were WAITING ALL ALONG the road! People were getting pulled over all over the place. I was able to sneak in the middle of four other cars and we had a safety caravan to get us out of there. Once you made it to Glen Rose, it was smooth sailing.

I hope to see some videos on youtube. They had some fancy camera equipment out there.

Oh yeah, and they changed the name of the Koffee Kup Kafe in Hico, TX. It's now the Koffee Kup Restraunt. I think they got too much negative publicity with the whole KKK thing. Was still funny to eat there. The food was pretty good home cooking, actually.
