Just trying to find my DVD of this film and realised some thieving so and so, has nicked it... and I'm now Crowless for tonight, just fancied this one, a curry, few beers and one of my top 10 films of all time.. stunning sets, soundtrack (The Cures Burn is awesome) and acting... talk about atmosphere... awesome...

So, do I go and find the Blu Ray version which isn't very good quality (although probably better than the DVD Special Edition which I had, the USA Version )... or do I just find something else to watch, Se7en is coming to mind, although, wish they'd release this in HD as well... man, I'm cheesed off...

You can get a Canadian copy of Se7en, it's 1080i and opened up to 1.78:1 from the original 2.35:1 but still far better than the DVD.

i bought it for like 2$ because i never saw it and it is actually pretty good. has a ton of creepy **** in it, and the killer guy does a good job in it. you should give it a shot before knocking it.

Why would you want it in 1.78:1 if it was originally 2.35:1?

For HDTV I guess, I don't mind so much as I could mask it for 2.35:1 but so long as boom mics aren't visible or whatnot there's no problem.
