Default Choose your own attacker!
Oh, lucky day! You have the choice of being attacked by one of four deadly animals in their natural habitat. Which would you pick?

a) A lion on the plains
b) A crocodile along the shores
c) A bear in the woods
d) A shark in the deep

Crocs have bad eye´s iirc, and they can´t keep up if your run zig zaging.
So there´s a chance,
imo in all other options your pretty much ****ed.

Your more then likely to escape a crocodile if it hasn't already grabbed you, but from a documentary I watched, your more likely to survive a shark attack then a croc attack. Crocs have much more crushing power and can crush your bones with ease. Sharks on the other hand tear at your flesh, not crush your bones.

I would rather a broken arm than all the flesh ripped off it.

B for sure!

D.. I saw some documentary that showed how to tickle a shark to make it sleepy so I'd give that a go

a/ usually it's the lionesses that do the hunting but I sure wouldn't want to risk it.
b/ Croc's can run faster than a man and not only do you risk losing limbs but drowning as well - however some people have survived by faking death and getting away when the croc' released them in it's nest.
d/ Assuming you mean a hungry shark that's a maneater, there's also the risk of drowning. Then again, if it's an attack by a little bottom feeding shark I'd disturbed...

- so I guess I'd try C as I've heard sometimes bears will leave you alone if you play dead as sometimes they attack to scare you off. What sort of bear, BTW - not interested in Polar Bears as you're just meat on feet to them.

B. Best chance of running away.

No way I'm going to outrun a bear in the woods, and he can easily kill me in a single strike. The lion can easily outrun me as well. And there's no way in hell I'm going to outswim a shark.

So I can either be ripped to shred by a shark, or have my limbs crushed by a croc.. Sounds like fun.

You have a chance of outrunning a croc (top land speed is only 11mph apparently, but that's 11mph straight out of a water lunge, so it'd make you jump) and if it grabbed you and didn't roll and you were quick enough you can eye gouge them and they will let you go, hopefully..., you can't outrun a Lion or a Bear, nor outswim a Shark.

A Lion would kill you the fastest though, one quick neckbite and it's goodnight vienna. A Croc, Grizzly/Polar Bear or a Shark would just happily eat you while you are still screaming...

Haha...

If someone had a spear or something then maybe they'd have a fair chance against them all, but bare handed..?, screw that...

Your only chance would be to run away/climb a tree/play dead, going hand to hand with mother natures finest isn't going to be a happy ending 99% of the time...

You could be the online version of Fedor Emelianenko, you'd still get owned in about two seconds fighting a Grizzly...[xmascandle]

What kind of bear? Unless it's really very hungry a bear would most likely just be trying to scare you away, not to eat you.

The rest of those would most likely actually see you as a meal.

I've seen lots of black bears in the wild and they always just run off.

At any rate the bears probably the least likely to kill you aside from the shark...but fXXk that,I don't want to be in the water with a shark.

The lion, you'd have almost no chance by yourself unless you were armed well and lucky.

The crocodile you'd have virtually no chance of escape if it grabbed you,it would most likely drown you or simple roll bite sized chunks of you off and you'd die from massive tissue damage.

I'd go for a bear.

Since I'm never that far north I'm going to assume it isn't a polar bear...barring a sudden polar bear annexation of north america that is.

None of those animals scare me. Now a cockroach attack in the shower and I will scream like a little girl.
