Are you in too?
Maybe.... give it a few more races!

Anyway, interesting qualy session so far, Force India's looking quick as are McLaren, Brawn, Renault....

And it's unfortunate for Luca Badoer the timing screen uses the first 3 letters of their surname...... 20th.... BAD.

Yeah, they really got their act together, Kovalainen almost got the pole but the last corners mistake took it from him, not bad considering he has the old car while Hamilton got all the new stuff for this race.

The modifictions on Lewis car are apparently aimed at the faster circuits coming up like Spa and Monza, but yeah Heikki messed up the last corner... close call though.-

Kovy is working hard, I just hope to see him do well in the race. And as for the car he doesn't have to beat Hamilton, but his race results are being watched carefully, and that car is still good enough to make his job relatively easy against the rest of the pack.

Hamilton is supposedly using a short wheelbase car as they didn't have a spare long wheelbase car after he damaged his. Lease ways, that's what they said on the telly.

Yeah they had no spares or something, just shows how hard McLaren have been working to get back to the front.

why

For some reason I just don't care about the drivers anymore and couldn't be bothered who gets pole..

Oh well, that seals the deal, Barrichello will win no doubt, wtf was McLaren doing?
Kimi starting to get back to pace, shame the Ferrari ain't exactly up to par with McLaren/Brawn/Red Bulls overall

kimi certainly could be winning if the car was a little quicker. they at least seem to be on it with strategy and don't make mistakes.

button needs to be qualifying better.

Everything Whitmarsh said in his interview then was bs, why try and cover up something which is so obvious.

Hamiltons pit cost him the race, or a close and intense battle with Rubens.

Much love to Rubens though, great race by him and he fully deserves it [thumbup][thumbup]

Yeah the lack of tires did him absolutely no favours, but Rubens drove a very good race and is a worthy winner. Lewis will definitely be in contention for race wins for the rest of the season anyway.

Good for the championship though.

Badoer...what a waste of an F1 drive. Would have been better to run 1 car and save the engine/trans/brakes.

2 seconds slower in a Ferrari ? And that "not raced in an F1 car" excuse is BS to, there have been 2 other drivers who raced for the first time in F1 cars (Alguersuari, Grosjean) and did MUCH better than Badoer. He is supposed to be a test driver, how can he be this slow ? Whats the point of developing the car with a driver that can get nowhere close to its limits ?

Alguersuari and Grosjean have been driving similar car to F1 for the whole season as far as I know, Badoer hasn't driven anything (apparently excluding 1 race of some GT-type of car which is completely different), there's a big difference, but yeah, his pace was too slow, everyone including himself knew he would be slow, but not that slow.

[yes]

Car at the beginning of the season ? Undrivable. Car at present ? Very managable judging by some of the in car footage from today. Very smooth and no big correction required. I reckon the Ham could finish in the top 4 or 5 after a pretty difficault year.

I've been saying these backup driver regs are idiotic given the lack of testing now. It was no surprise he was much slower than everyone else. The two other drivers have been racing in other series, developing there skill.
