Hands free, whilst still dangerous, is far less dangerous then texting/talking on a mobile phone or drink driving. With handsfree you still have both hands on the wheel and have your eyes on the road, and if your skilled most of your concentration will be on the road also.

Text driving is illegal in Australia anyways but people still do it, it annoys the crap out of me when I see people driving erratically and wonder wtf they are doing only to find them texting or talking on their mobile phones. And I'm not being sexists but 80% of them are usually women.

They should really make an ad out of this but knowing some p*ssies that are to scared to watch this will probably have it removed/banned within hours of airing.

the only part where i felt was a little over the top was the unresponsive baby, i found the add where a girl gets pinned by her legs while her boyfriend gets crushed at the same wall a bit more of a shock : found it (the faster the speed the bigger the mess) although maybe just because she was quiet attractive

Watced the vidm that would kinda suck if stuff like that actually happened. Also isn't it a rule, if an animal is crossing the road and your going to fast you have no choice but to hit it. I think I saw it in a movie because your far more likely to get into an accident by swerving out of the way and causing more damage then hitting it.

And yeah your right, ads like this won't have much affect on those who actually do it. here in Australia they have gone a few steps forward to prevent stuff like this happening. Paid parking almost everywhere prevents people with mod/ricer cars hanging around each other at parking lots and being idiots, speed camera's everywhere, high performance cop cars and unmarked cop cars everywhere, traffic lights everywhere. It's becoming increasingly difficult to speed anywhere.

I saw a pretty big accident though the other day. Was pretty damned funny, at first I thought the lady crashed into the guy in front as they where going off there nut at her. Then the driver in the front car get's out with a beer in his hand. Light turns green and I move forward to find another red car completely smashed up and the car with the beer drinker was also badly damaged in the front end.

Seen similar stuff happen to drivers who text whilst drive.

They won't ban cars, they will simply ban people from driving them in the future. Cars will be like those in iRobot where they drive themselves and we are simply passengers. But instead of being fit like Will Smith we will instead look like those people from Wall-E.

To me that just wasn't graphic enough! It just seemed so fake that it doesn't hit me hard emotionally.

Maybe I've just seen to much real death on the internet.

Anyhow, I really don't get why we must be having to tell people to not text while driving, you simply can't concentrate on the road while texting. I know I never do it because I know I can't concentrate on driving and text and the same time, it just feels bloody dangerous to do so.

If it's too gruesome then it would not be allowed don TV. Also I don't think the whole point of the ad was to show you how we look after we get into an accident but to show you how easily it is to lose concentration on driving which may lead to an accident.

I think it was a good idea to make text messaging whilst driving illegal. But I don't mind hands free set's, although I laugh at people who use them cause it looks like they are talking to the window or car. I've seen people use them casually when walking to, they just walk by talking and I'm left wondering wtf kind of drugs they on only to find out they are talking on their phone through a mic.[rofl]
