I'm voting for your sis but...
I can't really understand why weddings are done sooooooooooooooooo over the top in US. ![]() ![]() We had AMAZING wedding. We had band (with best male vocalist I've heard live.), food, big multilayered cake, "wedding-drink" etc. And it cost about 2000-3000€'s (including our clothes.) "Normal" wedding in US costs at least 10.000$. At least that's what I've read. [surrender] |

I'm voting for your sis but... Most weddings don't touch $10,000. A "normal" middle class wedding is about half that amount. Sure some people go nuts, but that's not the norm. My wedding was between $5000 and $6000 two years ago. We had roughly 90 people there, live band, reception, church. It really gets expensive when the wedding has a completely open bar. I've seen some weddings rack up a $3000+ bar tab alone. Nothing more than a contest to see who can outdo the other IMO. |
