From what I understand, its using a vision pixel paralell processor array to detect and dynamicly react to the object(s), but of course within a programmed structure. However, it does not take away from the dynamic ability to use percise vision to act/react to a dynamic enviornment. Also, it utilizes a sort of force modification, which may also be dynamic and is also impressive!

I'm not really sure what you meant by "..put it through all those tests without programming it..", but even the most advanced robotic entities of our future will have some form of programming, albiet self replicated dynamicly or otherwise.

This here shows the future of dynamic reaction to the enviornment with the use of super human vision and touch. Both programmed for sure, but independantly dynamic within the set structure as far as I can tell. To me, thats very impressive!
