We can understand and well see the first three pretty obviously but the others and how many are there I never get it understood. As I have read the 4th dimension is kind of like what we call Time right or? Also, what kind of time then..like now, what happened or what will happen or a mix of all somehow.

Anyone please tell me, I have been wondering for this so long and google isn't very helpful..[thumbup]

Time isn't the 4th dimension, it's a 4th dimension if you happen to be describing a system where time is one of the variables. Dimensions are simply metrics by which to define these variables: there's nothing wierdy-beardy about them at all. For example, the motion and position of the space shuttle is defined by anything up to 9 dimensions.

Ah, that movie was great..helped me understand as much as I could from the 4th and 5th but beyond that takes a little brain time..I liked the end where he kind of said it's here where it begins actually but our road ends as after 10th dimension there are no possibilities left..

Why did the movie ended saying that string theory didn't allow that kind of thinking that was in the movie?
