Where I work we have a policy against that. No spraying crap, no overpowering prefume/cologne. NOBODY listens to it. Throughout the day I smell hairspray, nail polish, and about 5 different scents of random crap. The center manager works out over lunch and drenches himself in cologne. You can smell him coming...

We recently had someone burn popcorn in the microwave at work. Some people complained a bit, (mostly people just coming into work from outside and going what the hell is that!)
Within minutes a manager came through and asked each employee (several hundred people) individually whether it would be okay to spray air freshener. I thought it was funny. I was at my desk, pounding away at my keyboard oblivious to the world when she clears her throat to catch my attention then almost nervously asked the question, probably because if her solution made anyone sick there would be hell to pay. [yes] |
