Recently my friend Kara came to me with some embarrassing complaints and asked for advice.
She was concerned that she might be catching the flu and would be unable to come on a camping trip with us this holidays. When asked what was wrong she said that her boobs had been sore now for a month off and on and her nipple become really sensitive. she is 19 and sexually active but had her period last month so I told her that I highly doubted she was pregnant because I and am sure pregnancy signs don't appear till 8 weeks. However she said that when ever her nipples become erect they become extra sensitive, the shower water even hurts them and then there are times when she would get this burning feeling. She then started saying she was also have had a nauseating feeling during the day at random times but never in the morning and that she particularly get it after she eats. I asked her if she had thrown up and she replied that she had not, but had felt like it. and sometimes when she would wake up she would feel really heavy and weak can anyone tell me if she has some sort of flu or something... The problem is when she asked if I knew of any virus like this I was struck dumb founded ![]() Can anyone tell me if they know what is a matter with her cause at the moment I feel like a really crappy friend cause I have no way of helping her... ![]() I originally thought she was pregnant until she told me she had her period last month and I am pretty sure pregnancy symptoms don't appear until about 8 weeks can anyone help she refuses to go to the doctor until she knows whats going on as her parents are really strick and freak out if she ever mentions that she is sick. Any advice would do thanks a ton ![]() |

Yup, this sort of thing is what doctors are for - I would also hope that's not her real name as otherwise she's likely to be really pissed at you.
it may be a relatively simple infection but the sooner it's taken care of the better. Would also a good time for a general check of her sexual health - something we should all be aware of. There are some GPs who visit here and if the title mentioned health problem or similar, they'd be more likely to pick up on the post. Oh, in the meantime it may be an idea to use a hypo-allergic washing product (like a baby's clothes cleaner) for the clothing as it may be an iritation from her current product. |

she may just be going through her natural body changes. Professional advise is the only way. Will try and convince her to go to doctors with me... I think she is most scared cause she thought she was pregnant....Will tell her what you have said should help me convince her to go to the doctors ![]() |

Ohh and film it please so i can give you a remote diagnosis. Instead we need some proper scientific data. Seeing as her nipples get hard and it hurts showering - we need to have video's of her and a female friend without the condition rubbing each others nipples so we can compare and give an educated medical diagnosis. |

You'd need to know exactly how many weeks its been since her last period. A woman's most fertile around 16 days after her period.
http://www.mayoclinic.com/health/sym...gnancy/PR00102 Tender, swollen breasts. Your breasts may provide one of the first symptoms of pregnancy. As early as two weeks after conception, hormonal changes may make your breasts tender, tingly or sore. Or your breasts may feel fuller and heavier. Fatigue. Fatigue also ranks high among early symptoms of pregnancy. During early pregnancy, levels of the hormone progesterone soar. In high enough doses, progesterone can put you to sleep. At the same time, lower blood sugar levels, lower blood pressure and increased blood production may team up to sap your energy. Some women also experience abdominal cramping early in pregnancy. These cramps are similar to menstrual cramps. |
