I personally think that she was being obstinate and the officer had no choice. You can see that he did not want things to escalate to that point, but he had to get them both out of the road and she was trying to push past him. Police cant have people getting that close. Slim chance, but she could grab his gun etc. He was fighting to get her to cooperate, keep them off the road and ensure his own safety.

However, on the other hand, she IS an old lady. I think that in the end it will all be regarded as a "misunderstanding," I dont think that she should be charged and sent to jail. I think that the department should drop the charges against her, but KEEP the traffic speeding ticket charge. Shes old and old people become senile. Her children however should do that horrible thing that eventually must be done....Shes gotta loose her keys.
