Default Frost/Nixon - any good?
It just came to theaters over here, and I thought about going. Has anyone seen it? How is it?

It has some great reviews, HOWEVER, what puts me off is that, IMO, the actors are nothng like the people they portray and for me that is a big flaw.
They also ytook some liberties with the TRUE debate/interview and that is unforgivable! Heck, the real interviews are available so why get the screwed up one?

It's only just come out over there? It's been out here for a month. In fact it's now more or less disappeared from cinemas, which is a shame since I was toying with the idea of going to see it. I guess I'll have to wait for it to come on Sky.

Yeah, we always get movies a month or two after the release in english speaking countries. I dont know why as I doubt the dubbing takes so much time. Sucks.

If it's dubbed you might as well not watch it altogether.

Why not? I dont watch Chinese movies in their original version either. And cinemas dont show movies in their original language with subtitles.

When I buy the DVDs I watch english and spanish movies in their original language only, but since all movies are dubbed in cinemas here, and the dubbing is of extremely high quality its okay to watch them in German.

Maybe I'm used to it but I have seen movies which were dubbed in other languages, (spanish version of Lethal Weapon is a good laugh hehe), and the quality isnt as good.

The most funny dubbing I've seen is... Polish.
Basically you still hear the original voices, but one dude speaks in Polish above it. ONE dude. Does all the characters. And just... speaks in a monotonous voice, whether the characters are shouting or whispering. Absolutely hilarious! [rofl]
