Glad he's not going to jail, that would be unfair in my eyes.

I agree.

It should be legalized all over the world, so many people benefit from it, why keep it illegal just to tease those who use it for pleasure?

The law punish the ones who need it... very weird.

Although I'm dead against drug taking of any sort, I do sympathise with people that are in pain and have received relief from that pain by smoking cannabis.

I do know a few people who smoke it because they either suffer from MS or other long term illnesses/diseases that other legal drugs provides little relief for.

He was clearly not doing it for profit either, like so many other "drug dealers", and the fact that his wife of 53 years has alzheimer's also makes me more sympathetic to what the poor guy must be going through every day.

A suspended sentence was correct in this case, its just a shame that his "customers" might have lost their chance of a little relief from their pain. [thumbdown]

Would somebody tell me why Cannabis isn't available to people with conditions it would help them with?

That sentence makes no sense at all, unless you forfeit the "what" for a "why", then it makes sense.

Because it has side effects. I have an uncle with MS who took it for a while, but ultimately made him feel worse so now doesn't do it anymore.

If anything I think this story indicates the need for better treatment rather than legalising cannabis for the terminally ill.

Lots of drugs have side effects.

Hmm, tbh the only kind of drug that I would actually want to be allowed is one with no side effects and technically that is probably impossible so bah..he should go to jail!

What a complete waste of time and money, why did this even come under review?
I hate all the laws we have to adhere to, as long as we're not harming anybody just let us get on with it for christs sake.

Bloody world, bloody laws, bloody big brother, bloody populace who are not deemed smart enough to live their own lives without interference from the state.

Has nobody learned anything form Judge Dread FFS!
