Default The 2 movies I would totally buy on BD are not even out!
Hot Fuzz
In Bruges

Both have been out on DVD for how long now? I know that they were both from HD DVD studios and In Bruges is a small film, but why does it take so long? No wonder BD sales are crappy, they need to do more than just release the big names. [yawn]

I have had a BD player for almost a year now and the only movies I've bought are Casino Royale and Pan's Labyrinth. I think my next purchase will be Band of Brothers. What are your do not miss BD movies?

BD? I am probably very tired somehow but do you mean BR as in blu ray?

Anyway, I would really want a copy of The Empire of the Sun in blu ray.

No he means BD as in Blue ray Disc

You'll notice on a recordable or a re-recordable Blu Ray Disc they say BD-R and BD-RE respectively as do a lot of model numbers for Blu Ray Disc players. Its also the official Logo

Thought i might as well edit my post with the logo as ive nothing else better to do:

I just bought Transformers 2007, Independance Day and Stargate The movie on BD, they will be my first blu ray movies as i bought a blu ray writer/ hd-dvd combo drive along with a dell 3008FPW just recently

I personally want the following:
LOTR
Star Wars (would like it if they recorded all the sound effects)
Back to the Future
Jurassic Park

But it will probably be years before we see them.

Don't be weary so soon!

The BttF trilogy is all but totally confirmed for release this year.

LOTR trilogy is all but confirmed to come out this year as well, although unfortunately it will be only the theatrical releases. I'm sure they'll double dip with the extended editions when The Hobbit comes out on Blu-ray in a few years(2012 or 2013).

Nothing has been stated about Star Wars or JP.

I totally agree with your list though. These are the blockbusters Blu-ray was made for!

Also, I'd like to see War of the Worlds on BD as well as some of my favorite films like Lost in Translation, About Schmidt, and American Beauty.
