Just the other day I was doing a shoulder exercise while at the gym (the one where you take the barbell and bring it up to your chin), and dislocated my wrist. The palm of my hand was literally facing my torso, and I had to snap it back into place. I know this doesn't help your situation but I hope it at least makes you feel somewhat better.

I've had problems with my sternum ever since I rearended someone on a major highway because there was a ladder in the road(strap down your ladders properly or I will rip your tongue out through your *******). I locked my arms on the steering wheel and I don't think my chest even touched the seat belt. Ever since then, if I stretch my arms too far back, my chest will pop and I feel a deep pain across my sternum. I have wondered if I split it in the crash and keep resplitting it when I stretch.

If it gives you any comfort, I have this happen often and the pain is relentless. I also doubt this will ever go away as this was over 4 years ago.

IThe tablet I took every day for about 6 months was called "diclofenac" , Funny enough its apparently used in some countries to treat cattle for muscle inflammation.
Diclofenac is a very strong painkiller. I was given it initially for my back, but its very bad from your stomach, so I only took it for less than a week before changing to vicodin instead [rofl]

You should find a good Chiropractor. My sister-in-law has 3 herniated discs due to a car acccident, and has been helped tremendously by going to one.

Physio is helping for my back. I was told by my doctor not to see a chiropractor, as if you have a herniated disc then having your back "cracked" can make it worse, not better. What I need is to build up my core muscle strength to counteract the weakness from the herniated disc.

Well, that's what separates a good chiropractor from a bad one. One that knows what he is doing will look at your MRI and X-Rays, and know exactly what to do and what not to do (i.e. rack and crack). Mild subluxation can do wonders to not only relieve the pain, but remove surrounding inflammation which will enable the area to heal faster.

I didn't even know you could dislocate a rib, shows how much i know! It really sucks that there are some amazing things we have achieved in the world of technology and medicine, yet sometimes it's the simplest of things we can't fix.

I fractured my big toe in september, but it was an awkward fracture that went into the joint. They looked at the X-Ray and said normally they would try to fix that type of injury but the fractured part was still in place so it's best to just leave it to heal naturally. So there's me feeling quite glad that i wouldn't need surgery or anything when the nurse turned to me and said "Oh, but you won't be able to bend that toe ever again" in such a nonchalant tone as though it was nothing!

Now i know there are people out there with far worse situations out there, but to be told i will never be able to move my big toe ever again just seemed so ridicolous to me considering some of the things we can do.
Had a similar break - not quite as easily bent as the other big toe, but not far from it.

Crazy, I can randomly pop my sternum when stretching to crack my back. (Arch my back force it.) It will make an audible pop/crack and it kinda feels good. lol. Sucks it hurts like hell for you. I am certain you effed that up in the accident.
