I ask, only because a kinda cool thing happens to me this month... i get paid every 2 weeks. I rely on 2 checks a month to pay my bills, build savings and buy things i don't need. Since i get paid every 2 weeks, in a year i get a total of 26 checks.... but, that is 2 extra paychecks a year...(12 months x 2 = 24) and just looking at the days left in the month, i realised this is one of my "extra paycheck" months. Probably just save it, but still, nice to know.

Yep, back when I was working we got paid once a month.
Always on the 27th or the last friday of the month, whichever comes first. Except in december where it was a week earlier. Unfortunantly that ment that in January we had to go anywhere between 5 and 6 weeks before our next paycheck depending on how the days fell. Also back when I was working part time at a supermarket we got paid for the week every Friday and I liked that better... although at the time I had no real bills to pay. The monthly was far better for bills because I had all of my outgoings set to come out of my bank on the 28th so everything was paid for straight away and I knew how much I had left. |

I get paid every friday. It was somewhat hard getting used to it, but it's ok at best i believe. Used to get paid every other week. Was used to having to save the paycheck tell just before the next one before spending anything of it. Now it's just put aside what ever for bills and pay them or mentally put them aside, and then do what ever with what i got for food and what not. Never done the whole Paid every month thing though, that would be weird but it would be interesting though thats for sure.

Every two weeks here. 26 checks a year. I know it all ends up the same, but when I get used to 2 a month, and in Jan and Jul get the 3rd, it makes me think of it as "extra" money. Money that can be used to go on a vacation, buy more toys or tuck away in some ultra cheap stocks. |
