Default Selling a SKY Digibox with viewing card
I've been asked if I want to sell my old sky digibox but was asked to leave the old viewing card in, would this be a problem, are there any details stored that can be used for nefareous purposes can anyone book movies or anything and i'd get charged.

Just a thought as I'm more than happy for them to have the viewing card if not.

It doesnt contain any personal details when you cancel sky, the sky card in the box reverts to a free to air card which usually costs £25 from sky directly.

Thats probably why he wants the card, as long as you ring up and have cancelled sky you should be fine [yes], since the sky account will be cancelled he wont be able to purchase movies since the account will be cancelled.

I had sky multi room and cancelled it, I still have the Digibox and viewing card that I used as a freeview box.

I left Sky over 3 years ago and sold my box complete with the viewing card. I think it just enables you to use the Sky box as a freeview

Thats what I was hoping, only got £20 for it but it's just sitting in a corner gathering dust otherwise.
