Default Annoying neighbors? Dolby them!!
Here's a fun story which happened to me just tonight you all might get a kick out of...

Okay, it's after 2am here... I came home at midnight to hear my neighbors in the unit next to me paying loud music and singing like jackasses. I mean, they are singing Britney, and bloody Aqua, and all sorts of crapness! I was willing to let this slide, until 1am when they were still raving on!

Now I am not one to call the cops because I know they got better things to do. So I decide to fight back, in style...

I have always wanted to test out my Sony Mutkei 7.2 sound system (we're talking 1695 Watts of pure loudness) but always felt bad about being too loud in my unit... but destiny has called for this weapon of choice my friends!

So I press these babies up against the wall... subs and all (yes, there's two of them!), and load up my favorite track: The Dolby Digital bass test.

Next, I remove all delicate ornaments sitting on top of anything and place them safely on the floor and crank up the amp ready to go!

I wait a bit, as they have gone quiet... maybe they have stopped? Then comes my signal.... they start playing J-Lo's "Lets Get Loud"! ...it's like even god wants me to punish these assholes!

"You want loud?" I say to myself... and at 1:30am BANG, 1695Watts of pure bass action rattle the whole block of bloody units. Heck, you could hear it from Albuquerque at this volume! I have actually blocked my own ears at this point and it still hurts. A standing lamps falls down, a picture frame comes down, and my windows all join in the the symphony of loudness!

After the track is finished.... silence. My belongings are un-harmed... and I feel a bit like Michael J Fox in back to the future after blowing the Docs giant guitar amp.

Then I hear: the neighbor from across the hall hops out of the unit in their pijamas, quite disgruntled, and knocks on the door of the unit next to me... and here is what follows:

Across the hall: "Excuse me, can you stop laying that loud music, you've been doing it all night and it's past 1:30am! I'm surprised nobody has called the police already!"
Next Door: "We're sorry about before, but that just then was not us!"
Across the hall: "I heard it was you since midnight! Who else would it be?"
Next Door: "It was the guy next door, he was playing something loud just then and it broke two of our vases, and the glass in one of our picture frames!"
Acrossthe hall: "We perhaps you should both keep the noise down!" *storms away*

Then I hear a knock at my door. But by this stage I have sunk my face into a cusion to dampen the insane amount of laughter coming from my very satisfied gut!

...I never answer the door. After all, I was sound asleep, remember?

I am going to sleep VERY well tonight!

And that's it.

The glass in one of the picture frames cracked, without it hitting the floor? Anyway, funny little story and the Muteki is one crazy looking HTIB and looks like you used it for what it was made for, loud party level listening.

Especially the bassline when the beat stops and it goes really deep with "Bass" repeated. I always love cranking that up to wind up my parents.

Hahaha that's hilarious.

Its a good thing I live in a house. I have two 15"s and a 2000 watt Crown amp. Its too damn loud.

I was watching Max Payne the other day. My dog, couch, and I went flying across the room in bullet time. The light for the limiter on the crossover was going nuts throughout the movie.

Mate, that was absolutely superb! Perhaps the cops should be "armed" with your rig for noise complaints.........

They cracked because they fell off the walls I assume.

The only sad thing is I won't be keeping the system... I bought it just before moving into the unit... but then realised they were too big (and I rarely get moments like these to take full advantage of it)... so I will be putting them in my folks house until I move to another place. Oh well, I got to use them once! haha
