The blade isn't missing at all, that was someone misreporting the facts. It was on the ground exactly where you'd expect it to be if it fell off.
There.

Where did you get this info?

(Not that I doubt it's correct)

If you take everything at face value then this does seem to be a strange event.
If you take everything the Sun says you mean.

Stories sell newspapers, speculative stories about UFO's sell even more. Take the case of the story run recently about Alonso being in a plane crash. Turns out he wasn't on the plane at all and that was just a small bingle while taxiing.

That's exactly what I mean, and I would be insulted if you thought for a second that I believed this story.

The first couple of posts were the kind of reactions I was after when I posted this.

http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/uk_news/e...re/7817378.stm

It's in the video section, not sure if people outside the UK can see the video though.

Here's a video of failed turbine smashing itself to bits.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WaVyIYotTdI

Seems most likely that one blade came off and hit the other one causing the damage we see.

Not sure what you mean... I posted a ludicrous Sun alien story to give people a laugh in the morning, so I expected tongue in cheek responses back, and not discussions about the validity of the story (which should be obvious), or the existance of aliens. What's pathetic about that?

It was pathetic that people fell for it. You said you posted it to get these replies and I just expected better from the crowd at FM.

I'm sure somewhere, some RAF pilot was ****ing with some experimental aircraft and screwed up.

Nothing more, nothing less. Damned crazy military guys. They're all a few beers short of a full case.

(Please note, I have the utmost respect for military vets. However, I just want to throw out the crackpot military experiment theory for laughs).

You never though, true those little green fellows have mastered technology far beyond anything we can understand yet, they can travel the vast distances of space at or beyond the speed of light, maybe even bend time to their needs.

But damn, flying at night can still be dangerous.

Lights were seen, photographed and video-recorded in the area thats why its being reported as a possible UFO collision.

As for the other blade that was actually taken away for examination or so ITV News were reporting.
