at a rough working out I'm up to about 500 quid and still going [cursing]

I'm sure the recession/credit crunch is just another Christmas marketing ploy !,but still I do enjoy seeing my niece and nephews faces Light up with joy.
Ive made my father cry 3 christmas's in a row too, gonna try again this year.

What's a Crimbo prezzie?

Edit: I just put "Crimbo prezzie" in Google and the first pic that came up was a naked girl in a santa hat.

Crimbo pressie = Christmas Present

Right now, £0. I have got £100 ready and waiting though for a few minor things for the family.

$175 on myself (new phone), nothing on others yet, too busy studying for finals. But I usually spend around $20 x 4 family members.

the idea is that you buy for other people, rather than yourself.

For the wife $200 on a Nuvi 780, and $100 on a spa gift certificate. - It's her I'm quitting my job and going to college gift. Since she'll be driving to a new place every day she needs the GPS. The nursing program is pretty intense. That's assumine she gets loans now that we found out they don't participate in the stafford loans.

For the rest of the family? $30.

My family isn't big into christmas. What we like to do is have each person buy a $30 gift, and then we play some sort of game involved with choosing one of them.

Altho we do buy for the youngest. We've got 1 child in the family. She's getting a Wii, so I bought her cooking mama.

So far 300 for the little girl, 60 for the boy. Will def spend another 135 on the boy (new Hockey helmet) for Christmas. This is our first year spending only this much on Christmas as we are scaling back big time, due to the projected economy. Prob spend another 150 to 200 on parents/inlaws. Thats it. Wifey and I are not getting for each other, thats at least our agreement but we break it every year. We normally spend close to 1000 between the kids; but they get what they need year round. Sons hockey cost 1500 just for yearly fees this year and my daughters art school cost some too.

About £100 at the moment.

Just getting stuff for immediate family, all ranging to about £30 each.

Still need to get for mum, step sister and sister's boyfriend.
