Default If I order a US BD from MovieTyme will I get charged customs duty?
I want to order The Ultimate Matrix 7 disc BD set. I know some companies will either ship from the UK or will prepay customs duty are Movietyme one of these? Axel Music state on their website that they ship from within the EU so there are no customs charges; they have it but it's more expensive.

I've had stuff from Movietyme and although it was a long time ago I'm pretty sure it wasn't sent directly from USA.

As long as it is under £106 then there is no import tax to pay anyway (this was increased from £18 from the 1st of December).
The package should however attract VAT as no VAT has been paid inside the EU.

So it is the old thing.
Add 15% on to the price of the item - still a good deal then go for it and if it doesn't get stopped you're laughing.
If however it does then you just pay what you expected.
