Default Has anybody else's Cox Cable internet doubled in speed???
I have Cox Cable internet 5mb down, 1.5MB up, I normally get the speed burst for 20 to 30 seconds of 1.2MB per second actual download speed, and 256kb per second upload.

But a few days ago I noticed i was bursting sometimes as high as 3mb a second, and right now i am downloading 3dmark06 at 1.33MB a second which is about twice what I used to get.

Just finish 580mb in 7min 20 seconds

Very nice speed boost, I hope it stays this fast!!!

still paying $41.95 a month, no tax or fees of any kind.

Yes and yesterday I received an email stating that my "Preferred" connection speed was going from 5mb /2mb to 10mb/2mb (powerboost 12.5mb/2.5mb).

They also have their "Premier", which went from 15mb/2mb to 20mb/3mb (25/3.5 w/powerboost)

I think FiOS is starting to scare them, so they keep bumping up the speeds to keep people from switching.

I did a speed test yesterday and I was getting 22mb/2.5mb for my "preferred" connection. Actual d/l speeds are pretty much spot on for 10mb/2mb though.

BTW: my newsletter said they were also adding some more HD channels as well. CMT, Spike, Nickelodeon, MTV and VH1 effective Oct. 10th.

Mine went up a lil bit also but still slow for my tastes. I'm getting 9 Mbps down and 768 Kbps up where before my up was only at 512Kbps.
